This Denison Edge course provides students with a foundational understanding of the principles, practices, and professional landscape of sustainability consulting. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and practical exercises, students will learn how to identify sustainability challenges and opportunities within an organization, apply basic analytical frameworks to sustainability auditing and reporting, and effectively communicate a business case for sustainable change. Students will identify a specific company or organization as their case study to analyze throughout the course.听

This course is designed for students interested in a career in consulting, corporate sustainability, or environmental organization management.

Instructor: Jeremy King

Jeremy King is the Director of Sustainability Campus Improvement 最新萝莉社 University. His role 最新萝莉社 focuses on key sustainability-issues such as: renewable energy, energy-efficiency, local food sourcing, recycling, sustainable landscaping and transportation. He has consulted with a number of organizations on sustainability and energy related issues. He serves on the boards of both the Licking Land Trust and the Licking Park District. In addition, he serves on the Granville Planning Commission and is actively involved in numerous other community organizations. Jeremy is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer having worked on sustainable development and sustainable agriculture projects in the Ecuadorian Amazon from 2007 to 2009.听 Jeremy taught high school science at Circleville High School in Circleville, Ohio for ten years and during that time earned a Master of Science degree in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University.

Master the essential skills of Microsoft Excel with Denison Edge鈥檚 Intro to Excel Accelerator Program. Designed for students and professionals looking to build proficiency in data management, formulas, pivot tables, AI tools, and more, this interactive course covers both foundational and advanced Excel functions. Through hands-on exercises and guided instruction, you鈥檒l gain practical experience to enhance your academic and career success. Whether you鈥檙e new to Excel or looking to sharpen your skills, this program will equip you with valuable tools to analyze and visualize data effectively.

Instructor: Charles Richmond

Charles works at Book+Street as the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. He supports clients with numerous projects including cash flow forecasts, cap tables, financial models, systems integrations, commission trackers and deal pipelines. His job is two-fold as he also supports the internal team with operational systems and KPI reporting. In his role, Charles has also taken on the responsibility of mentoring and managing our analysts and interns. He finds immense satisfaction in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications. Prior to joining Book+Street, he was a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern at Libbey Glass where he was responsible for reporting on financial actuals each month, identifying low-margin SKUs in order to make the projection process more efficient and streamlined, and maintaining and rolling over projections month-to-month. Charles earned a BS in Finance from the Ohio State University. When he鈥檚 not working, Charles loves going to the movies with his wife, playing video games, and hanging out with his two cats.听

Schedule: Mondays from 6:00-8:00pm beginning on Monday, June 1st and ending on Monday, June 22nd

This four-week program meets once a week for 90 minutes and introduces students to the core language, tools, and strategies shaping modern marketing. Students will explore platform strategy, performance vs organic marketing, influencer and UGC campaigns, content seeding, production, and measurement, with AI integrated throughout. Each participant will select a brand to analyze and develop听a mini-social campaign over the course of the program. The experience concludes with optional presentations and industry Q&A, offering feedback and insight into today鈥檚 marketing landscape.

Instructor: Rebekah Skovron

Rebekah Skovron is a Senior Project Manager in Business Development at Get Engaged Media, where she builds 360掳 social campaigns that connect cultural insight with conversion to turn audience attention into measurable growth. Her work spans social, influencer, and paid media programs that have secured $8M+ in new revenue and driven triple鈥慸igit ROI across sectors ranging from fashion and hospitality to humanitarian causes. Across every role, Rebekah has been motivated by taking ambitious ideas from rough concept to campaigns people actually see, share, and remember.

Boards aren鈥檛 boring! Whether you are interested in a nonprofit career or simply want to volunteer for nonprofits, understanding board governance is key.听

This program will explore governance essentials including roles, responsibilities, duties, and operations. We鈥檒l discuss common governance myths and dive into power dynamics. Participants will engage in a scenario activity to grow in their understanding. And we hope to inspire your service as a nonprofit board member.

Instructor: Kerri Mollard

Kerri is the CEO of Mollard Consulting. She is a respected authority on nonprofit board governance, planning, and听fundraising, and has served more than 170 clients since 2003 and thousands more through workshops. She has a BA from Ohio State, an MA from Indiana University, and a Nonprofit Board Consulting Certificate from BoardSource. In 2023, Kerri was recognized as an Outstanding Professional Fundraiser at the National Philanthropy Day, honored by the Association of听Fundraising听Professionals Columbus Chapter.

This four-week accelerator explores the key considerations that shape responsible AI use in academic and professional settings. Participants will examine core dimensions of AI tools and systems, including privacy and security, trust and reliability, data and content, human-AI interaction, and context and prompting. Throughout the program, learners will develop practical judgment for using AI safely, ethically, and effectively while building a stronger understanding of governance, risk, and accountability. By the end, participants will be better prepared to evaluate when and how AI should be used, communicate expectations clearly, and apply responsible practices across real-world use cases.

Instructor: Lauren Burke-McCarthy

Lauren Burke-McCarthy is a Senior Data Science Lead, Strategy at Further. Previously a Data Scientist at CoverMyMeds, Lauren built models and systems to improve understanding of user needs, enhance products, and discover opportunities. She began her data science career in the retail space, developing solutions across several areas including supply chain, inventory management, and enterprise business. Lauren is the Director of Operations of Women in Analytics, where her primary focus lies in strategy and community growth. She also hosts the WIA After Hours podcast. Lauren serves as a Core Advisor on the Midwest Big Data Hub's Community Advisory Panel, a member of TECH CORPS' Regional Steering Committee, Chair of COSI's KINETIC Board, and a founding member of scikit-learn's Communication Team. She is the recipient of the inaugural Ohio Trailblazers Award, celebrating women transforming Ohio tech.

Build a strong foundation in financial modeling through an eight week experience offered in conjunction with the Kaplan Foundations in Financial Modeling course. This program blends the Kaplan All Access Pass resources available to Denison students with Denison Edge-led instruction and support.

Each week combines Kaplan鈥檚 structured, self paced online curriculum with a live Zoom session facilitated by Denison Edge. These sessions help you deepen your understanding of key concepts, review assignments, strengthen Excel skills, and apply modeling logic step by step.

You will learn how to design and structure financial models, build revenue and cost schedules, work with depreciation and tax assumptions, analyze working capital, and incorporate debt and equity. By the end of the program, students will assemble a complete three statement financial model and earn an industry recognized Kaplan badge that supports your academic and early career goals.

This workshop introduces students to how organizations use AI and data storytelling to inform strategy, improve performance, and support smarter decision-making. Participants will explore how AI tools can assist with cleaning and preparing data, identifying patterns, and generating meaningful visualizations. The focus is not just on analysis, but on how to translate data into clear, compelling stories that resonate with stakeholders.

Through guided instruction and applied exercises, students will practice using AI to move from raw data to actionable insights. They will learn how to frame data-driven narratives, select appropriate visuals, and communicate findings in ways that influence organizational decisions across functions such as marketing, operations, and strategy.

By the end of the workshop, students will be able to:

Understand how AI can support data cleaning, analysis, and visualization

Identify key insights within datasets and assess their relevance for organizational decision-making

Create clear and effective data visualizations that support a narrative

Use data storytelling techniques to communicate insights to non-technical audiences

Instructor: Sheyla Finkelshteyn

Sheyla Finkelshteyn is an AI education specialist and PhD researcher in Organizational Communication who supports universities and organizations in implementing AI thoughtfully and effectively. Her work centers on building AI fluency across roles鈥攆aculty, staff, and even students鈥攖hrough hands-on training that bridges technical possibilities with communication, ethics, and institutional context. She brings expertise in qualitative research, learning design, and inclusive communication to help participants develop confidence, craft strong prompts, and apply AI to real tasks while understanding limitations, bias, and responsible use.

This comprehensive program on Sports Marketing provides students with an in-depth understanding of the dynamic and rapidly evolving field of sports marketing. The program covers the fundamental principles of marketing within the sports industry, including key concepts, strategies, and real-world applications used by teams, leagues, and brands worldwide. Through engaging case studies and hands-on learning experiences, students will explore the critical elements of sports marketing, from fan engagement to sponsorships and event promotions. By the end of the program, students will have developed knowledge of the fast-paced world of sports marketing, equipped with the tools to drive fan engagement, create impactful partnerships, and market live events effectively.

Instructor: Scott Bailey

Scott Bailey is the Director of National Sales at Playfly Sports, where he manages the college and high school sports division. In this role, he works with more than 30 collegiate athletic properties, including Auburn, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, and Texas A&;M, as well as more than 20 high school state athletic associations across the country. A highly accomplished revenue generator with more than 35 years of experience in the sports industry, Scott has built his career in ticket sales, sponsorship development, and partnership strategy. Throughout his career, he has held sales and partnership roles with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians, the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA), the Big Ten Conference, and the Mid-American Conference.

Scott brings real-world industry insights into the classroom, helping students understand the evolving landscape of sports business and careers in the industry.

The AI Content Workflows workshop is a 90-minute interactive session designed to help students integrate AI into their marketing process with intention and strategy. Participants learn to position AI as an assistant rather than an author, identifying high-impact use cases within content creation and avoiding common pitfalls. Students practice writing effective prompts, generating structured outlines for blogs, emails, and social posts, and using AI to identify content gaps and improve clarity. By the end of the session, participants will have built a simple AI-supported content workflow and gained practical experience using AI tools to move from idea to polished, strategic output.

Instructor: Cassie Tucker & Ally Golden

Cassie Tucker is an independent marketing strategy consultant who helps her clients refine their messaging and communicate their value to potential customers across digital channels. The goal of her work with her clients is to drive meaningful connections, build community, and fuel sales growth.听In the corporate world, she worked for NYC social media agency Socialfly where she collaborated with brands like NEST Fragrances and IL MAKIAGE. As an entrepreneur, she combines her work in marketing and experience as a former Disney Cast Member to make magic for her clients.听 Through her work as the co-host of Marketing Happy Hour, she is committed to empowering and encouraging young professionals on their career journeys. In her free time, Cassie enjoys visiting the Orlando theme parks, thrifting, and practicing her photography.

Ally Golden is a marketing leader with over a decade of experience driving revenue growth through global, integrated marketing strategies and high-impact brand partnerships across the finance, retail, entertainment, and tech industries. Throughout her career, she has partnered with well-known brands including Madewell, Upwork, TIDAL, and more. As co-host of Marketing Happy Hour, Ally brings her real-world experience to the mic鈥攈elping listeners navigate career-defining shifts, build their confidence, and level up professionally. Instructor: This program is led by听Louann Cummings, Emeritus Professor at the University of Findlay 鈥媋nd former Fulbright Scholar and Specialist. She received her BA in economics from 最新萝莉社 University, an MBA from the University of Toledo, and a Doctor of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University and is a licensed CPA. She also worked for Root Learning, Inc. developing learning map technologies for companies such as Harley-Davidson, ATT Wireless, Motorola, UPS, and Whirlpool. Her passion is helping students and colleagues, regardless of their course of study, become exceptional global leaders who truly make a difference.

Meaningful social impact is more than a mission statement or a one-day service project. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how to distinguish real impact from performative efforts, see how values show up in budgets and programs, and identify practical ways to drive change from wherever they sit鈥攚hether in a student org, internship, or early career role.

The Learning Outcomes include:

- Distinguishing true social impact from general community engagement or marketing

- Asking effective, compliant questions about social impact in interviews and workplaces

- Understanding how P&L decisions, budgets, and program design can advance social goals

- Applying a simple 鈥渕ini playbook鈥 to design or refine socially impactful initiatives

Instructor: Colin Page McGinnis

Colin Page McGinnis, CReC, is a strategist and operator who thinks in systems and relationships at the same time鈥攁 combination that centers people in the process, and gets to outcomes faster for it. At OH.io, he serves as connective tissue across leadership, revenue, operations, and external partners, bringing a behavioral and learning sciences lens to the problems most organizations treat as purely structural. A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree for Social Impact, he has operated inside high-pressure environments where growth, talent, and execution collide. Colin holds a B.S. from The Ohio State University and an M.A. from the University of Nebraska鈥揕incoln. He is a Certified Resilience Coach.

This session teaches participants to how to sell ideas, products or services and themselves. They may be interested in a career in Sales or a Non-Sales profession.

This interactive workshop helps participants develop the confidence and skills needed to have persuasive, effective conversations. Participants will learn how to communicate in ways that build trust, strengthen relationships, and encourage meaningful engagement. Through a structured communication approach, the session focuses on uncovering what others value most and using those insights to guide productive discussions. By the end of the workshop, participants will be better equipped to influence decisions thoughtfully and confidently, without feeling pushy or uncertain in high-stakes conversations.

Instructor: Pam Rodefer

Pam Rodefer began her career in Sales over 40 years ago and has worked in both Fortune 50 and Start Up organizations. For the last 24 years Pam has used her background in Sales Leadership, Sales Training and Development and Sales Coaching in her consulting business. She partnered with Braveheart Sales Performance 11 years ago where she trains and coaches Sales teams and leaders. Pam lives in Westerville with her two dogs, Henry and Major. She is a 10-year Pelotonia Rider and enjoys spending time riding, walking, reading and spending time with friends and family. She鈥檚 a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Shirley Ellis is the Founder and CEO of Intentional Impact LLC and a leadership development strategist who helps leaders move from hesitation to strategic execution. With over a decade of corporate experience as a Principal Project Manager, she led cross-functional teams, partnered with senior stakeholders, and drove enterprise initiatives in complex, regulated environments. Through her company, Shirley equips leaders from mid-level professionals to C-suite executives with performance-driven frameworks that increase decision velocity, strengthen executive presence, and elevate influence. Through keynote speaking, executive coaching, and professional development workshops, she partners with organizations to help leaders navigate change, lead with clarity, and drive stronger business results.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how we work; but the most valuable skills in the future of work will continue to be the ones AI cannot replicate: trust, ethics, empathy, creativity, and human connection. Varsey Laurelle is the Chief Change Officer and Shift Coach at Varsey Laurelle Consulting, where she helps organizations gain clarity, align people and processes, and activate strategic change. Her work centers on leadership development, culture, and guiding teams from strategy to execution.

She holds a BA in Mass Communications and Marketing from Wright State University and an MBA from Ashland University, where she developed a strong interest in business psychology and human dynamics. Varsey designs and facilitates workshops on self-leadership, trust, clarity during transitions, cultural architecture, and the role of AI in organizations.

Varsey is a graduate of the Leadership Columbus Signature Class of 2023 and serves on the Board of Directors for Freedom a la Cart, a Columbus-based social enterprise supporting survivors of sex trafficking. Known for her authenticity, energy, and listening skills, she brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to her work with leaders and teams.

This four-week program will provide a basic introduction to the vital field of grant writing, equipping you with the tools (and tricks of the trade) you鈥檒l need to get started. It will include a look at the nonprofit grants landscape; an overview of grant components and the grant life cycle; and invaluable tips for writing successful narratives, conveying impact, crafting budgets, and reporting out. Through open discussions, practical exercises (including crafting a mock grant over the duration of the program), and a roundtable with experts, you鈥檒l come away with an understanding of grant writing, what it entails, and how it might be changing. More specifically, you鈥檒l discover what comprises a grant and its life cycle; learn how to identify relevant grants; garner tips for writing compelling narratives and reports; acquire tools for conveying data and impact; and explore how AI might be affecting the field.

Instructor: Karen Simonian

An experienced grant writer, editor, and nonprofit fundraiser, Karen Simonian worked for the Wexner Center for the Arts at The Ohio State University for 25 years. Her focus in the last decade has been grant writing, with stakeholder communications, media relations, and strategic messaging variously part of her portfolio. Simonian has also been the arts editor for Columbus鈥檚 The Other Paper and a writer for Columbus Monthly. Currently, she is a grant writer for Ohio State鈥檚 Arts and Humanities division in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Exploring the impacts, opportunities, and intricacies of an Investment Banking career. This program offers a comprehensive overview of the Investment Banker career path, guiding participants through the functions of Investment Banking and its impact across various industries. It will cover essential topics such as company valuation modeling, financial reporting, due diligence, and business exit strategies.

Daniel Schuerman is a financially disciplined, process driven, analytical problem-solving leader with experience in various industries including Manufacturing, Distribution, and Professional Services. Daniel has diverse experience as an executive leader who is energized by long term business strategy, M&A diligence, and integration, and impacting short term financial objectives including cash flow, budgets, and data analysis. How to use AI to turn questions into insights

This session helps students learn how to use AI as a research assistant to explore new topics, gather insights, identify trends, and turn large amounts of information into clear and actionable insights. This program will walk through real examples in marketing and data analysis, showing how AI tools conduct market research, find sources, prepare for job interviews, learn new industries, and more. Students will gain hands-on experience in effectively prompting and knowing when to use AI versus a traditional search engine.

Instructor: Sheyla Finkelshteyn

Sheyla Finkelshteyn is an AI education specialist and PhD researcher in Organizational Communication who supports universities and organizations in implementing AI thoughtfully and effectively. Her work centers on building AI fluency across roles鈥攆aculty, staff, and even students鈥攖hrough hands-on training that bridges technical possibilities with communication, ethics, and institutional context. She brings expertise in qualitative research, learning design, and inclusive communication to help participants develop confidence, craft strong prompts, and apply AI to real tasks while understanding limitations, bias, and responsible use.

This program takes participants from concept to a launch-ready show. In this hands-on experience, participants define their podcast鈥檚 positioning, clarify their target audience, map out their first five episodes, and record and edit a pilot episode ready for launch. Students learn recording and editing fundamentals, craft SEO-informed titles and show notes, develop promotional assets, and build a complete marketing rollout plan. By the end of the program, each participant leaves with a launch-ready first episode, a tangible portfolio piece, and both the technical skills and strategic understanding needed to use long-form content as a powerful marketing tool.

Cassie Tucker is an independent marketing strategy consultant who helps her clients refine their messaging and communicate their value to potential customers across digital channels. The goal of her work with her clients is to drive meaningful connections, build community, and fuel sales growth.听In the corporate world, she worked for NYC social media agency Socialfly where she collaborated with brands like NEST Fragrances and IL MAKIAGE. As an entrepreneur, she combines her work in marketing and experience as a former Disney Cast Member to make magic for her clients.听 Through her work as the co-host of Marketing Happy Hour, she is committed to empowering and encouraging young professionals on their career journeys. In her free time, Cassie enjoys visiting the Orlando theme parks, thrifting, and practicing her photography.

Ally Golden is a marketing leader with over a decade of experience driving revenue growth through global, integrated marketing strategies and high-impact brand partnerships across the finance, retail, entertainment, and tech industries. Throughout her career, she has partnered with well-known brands including Madewell, Upwork, TIDAL, and more. As co-host of Marketing Happy Hour, Ally brings her real-world experience to the mic鈥攈elping listeners navigate career-defining shifts, build their confidence, and level up professionally. Gain in-depth knowledge of fundraising鈥檚 essential role in nonprofit success. This program will allow you to explore the fundamentals of fundraising, debunk common myths, and will teach you how to use data to inform strategies and strengthen donor relationships.

Instructor: Kerri Mollard

Kerri is the CEO of Mollard Consulting. She is a respected authority on nonprofit board governance, planning, and听fundraising, and has served more than 170 clients since 2003 and thousands more through workshops. She has a BA from Ohio State, an MA from Indiana University, and a Nonprofit Board Consulting Certificate from BoardSource. In 2023, Kerri was recognized as an Outstanding Professional Fundraiser at the National Philanthropy Day, honored by the Association of听Fundraising听Professionals Columbus Chapter.

This program equips participants with the tools and confidence to write with clarity, purpose, and influence in professional settings.

Through guided instruction, discussion, and hands-on practice, students will strengthen their ability to communicate effectively across business contexts. The program culminates in a timed individual and group tabletop exercise simulating workplace scenarios that require clear, persuasive writing under pressure and with limited information.

Throughout the sessions, participants will learn and apply the fundamentals of effective business writing, including how to:

-Define the purpose and desired outcomes of a communication

-Analyze audiences and select the appropriate tone, voice, and medium

-Organize ideas logically to achieve specific goals

Participants will leave with a strong writing toolkit and practical experience producing high-impact communications that drive results, such as gaining project approval, securing stakeholder buy-in, or influencing key decisions.

Instructor: Lisa Armitage

Lisa brings more than two decades of leadership experience in sales, marketing, and operations across franchise, consulting, and entrepreneurial environments. She is a multi-unit franchisee of Goldfish Swim School and has spent over twelve years working within franchise systems as both an owner and operator.

Previously, Lisa served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for the largest franchisee group in the Goldfish Swim School system, supporting eight markets and more than twenty-three locations. She partnered with leadership teams to drive growth, open new locations, improve performance, and translate strategy into execution.

Lisa is the founder of Armitage Consulting Group, where she advises small businesses and franchise owners on sales strategy, marketing effectiveness, and operational clarity. She holds an MBA and brings a practical, experience-driven perspective shaped by leading teams, launching locations, and making decisions in fast-paced environments.

Lisa is passionate about supporting small businesses, community organizations, and mission-driven teams. She enjoys working with students and emerging professionals to help them see how strong communication, sound judgment, and thoughtful execution contribute to success.

Supply chains are no longer invisible. This interactive workshop introduces students to the forces that disrupt global supply chain networks and the strategic decisions companies make in response. Using recent real-world disruptions as case studies, students will analyze risk, trace ripple effects, and develop a contingency plan, gaining insight that applies across roles, industries, and career paths.

Instructor: Jeremy Banta

Jeremy Banta is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with over 30 years of experience in civilian and military logistics. He is a Professor of Supply Chain Management at Columbus State and co-founder of the Ohio Supply Chain Academic Network. He serves on multiple school and organizational boards, as well as being a member of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. His 20-year military career includes 15 years of full-time service in the Ohio National Guard and deployments to Iraq and Kuwait.

Microsoft Excel allows you to communicate and handle information with much more impact than raw numbers alone. You will get more from your data by learning how to build graphs in Microsoft Excel, from straight-forward to complex. This workshop outlines the visualization features and functions in Microsoft Excel including: Graphs: Line graphs, bar graphs, scatter plots, bubble plots, box and whisker plots, pie charts, heat maps, waterfall charts, and more, Formatting graphs to include scale adjustments, axes labels, value labels, layout, primary and secondary axes, and the use of summary tables and conditional formatting.

Instructor: Charles Richmond

Charles works at Book+Street as the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. He supports clients with numerous projects including cash flow forecasts, cap tables, financial models, systems integrations, commission trackers and deal pipelines. His job is two-fold as he also supports the internal team with operational systems and KPI reporting. In his role, Charles has also taken on the responsibility of mentoring and managing our analysts and interns. He finds immense satisfaction in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications. Prior to joining Book+Street, he was a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern at Libbey Glass where he was responsible for reporting on financial actuals each month, identifying low-margin SKUs in order to make the projection process more efficient and streamlined, and maintaining and rolling over projections month-to-month. Charles earned a BS in Finance from the Ohio State University. When he鈥檚 not working, Charles loves going to the movie鈥檚 with his wife, playing video games, and hanging out with his two cats.听

This 90-minute beginner-friendly SEO workshop introduces individuals to how search works and why SEO skills are in demand across many marketing internships and early-career roles. We鈥檒l cover foundational SEO concepts, basic keyword research, and simple on-page optimization (titles, headings, and content structure) so you can create content that is more discoverable online. The goal is a practical, accessible introduction rather than a technical deep dive, and students will leave with a clear framework and takeaway resources to apply afterward.

Allison Ditmer has her BSBA in Marketing and MBA from Bowling Green State University. She spent 15 years at Abbott before deciding to utilize her digital marketing background and pursue building her content and freelance writing business. When she's not helping organizations build their brands online with strategic content, she's with her family traveling to national parks and spending time with her two kids.

Informing Campus Decisions, Leaving a Legacy.

RED (Research, 听Engagement & 听Design) Corps (Don't worry, it's not 'corpse' 鈥 it's pronounced 'CORE'!") is a team of 12-16 students with a special mission 鈥 they take on projects to make a positive impact to the Denison campus. Hosted by the Red Frame Lab, RED Corps Fellows are student employees contributing 8-10 paid hours per week for their consulting efforts and they receive professional development around project management, effective teams, research methods, data visualization, professional presentations, and capturing their project stories for future interviews and applications. 听RED Corps Fellows serve as consultants to "clients" within Denison, gaining real professional experience while making their mark 最新萝莉社.

The RED Corps Fellows work closely with "clients" across Denison as they look at challenges and then construct research that digs into the core of those questions. The team connects with the student body and campus community to answer those questions through individual interviews, focus groups, and campus conversations.

After the research has been gathered, they compile and synthesize the data and report their findings to their Denison 听clients and the community. Finally, the RED Corps Fellows develop possible solutions or prototypes based on their findings.

Lauren Burke-McCarthy is a Senior AI Strategy Lead at Further, where she guides organizations in the strategic enablement, implementation, and risk management of responsible AI solutions. Previously a Data Scientist at CoverMyMeds, Lauren built models and systems to better understand user needs, enhance products, and uncover opportunities.

Lauren is a Core Advisor on the Midwest Big Data Hub's Community Advisory Panel, a member of TECH CORPS' Regional Steering Committee, Chair of COSI's KINETIC Board, and a founding member of scikit-learn's Communication Team. She is a certified IAPP AIGP and the recipient of the inaugural Ohio Trailblazers Award, celebrating women transforming Ohio tech.

Tanya Zyabkina is a data analytics expert with over 15 years of experience in Marketing and Consumer Analytics. She works as a Marketing Performance Analytics Director at The Ohio State University. and her prior experience includes consulting and building the analytics function for Fortune 500 companies in the retail and telecom industries. Tanya鈥檚 areas of expertise cover various analytics applications, from data engineering to digital analytics to campaign effectiveness measurement. She holds an MBA from The Ohio State University and completed graduate coursework in Data Science and Econometrics

Participants in this course will gain an understanding of marketing as a fundamental discipline needed to create and build successful brands, businesses, nonprofits, products, and even professional individual identities. This course introduces concepts and then quickly provides you with opportunities to apply them to real-world opportunities or challenges through individual assignments and group projects. You will also be asked to reflect upon how the course fits into your Denison education and plans for life after Denison.

Neil鈥檚 passion for education and career development drew him to Denison Edge, first as the lead Marketing & Brand Strategy instructor, and now the lead of business development for Denison Edge. Among other things, Neil is the President and Founder of Results Marketing Group. Previously Neil has served in marketing leadership roles for national consumer brands like Aquafresh, Renu, and Classico Italian foods. He later served as CEO for an accredited career education business and CMO for a major independent supplier of energy to millions of customers, both households and businesses. Currently, Neil serves as a Leader at Innovate New Albany, a business incubator and a hub for innovators and entrepreneurs who are serious about building businesses that are both valuable and sustainable.

  • Learn how to obtain the information you need in order to make decisions
  • Develop a career planning roadmap for your remaining Denison experience and know how to implement your roadmap
  • Complete/update your resume, a draft cover letter, and LinkedIn profile
